A man was found shot to death near the Missionary Ridge Tunnel in Chattanooga this morning.

Police say the victim was found on Rosemont Drive.

A man is in critical condition after a stabbing at a Chattanooga gas station.

56-year-old James Gann was talking with a younger man near gas pumps when he was suddenly stabbed multiple times.

It happened around 10 o’clock Monday night on Rossville Boulevard.

The suspect fled on foot. Anyone with information is asked to call the police.

Chattanooga will host the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2017.

The event will bring about 4,000 competitors to the city, half of them from outside the country.

Chattanooga is the first city to host a full Ironman, a half Ironman, and the 70.3 world championships.

Georgia has executed a woman for the first time in 70 years.

47-year-old Kelly Renee Gissendaner was pronounced dead by lethal injection early this morning.

She was convicted in the 1997 murder of her husband.

Gissendaner sang Amazing Grace before she died.

A Tennessee minister’s wife is charged with statutory rape.

Authorities say 25-year-old Ariel Stevenson had an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old boy she met at Franklin Christian Church.

Her husband Jeremy is a youth minister there.

She’s been released from the Williamson County Jail on a $20,000 dollar bond.

The TBI is investigating a shooting that killed a hunter in Grundy County.

It happened while two men were hunting near Altamont Sunday.

Officers found Robin Smartt giving CPR to his cousin, Chad Killian. Authorities were told Killian fell out of a tree stand and the gun went off.

But the sheriff says that might not be what happened.

Killian’s body has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy.

A Chattanooga police officer was in a crash with a civilian while responding to an armed robbery.

Officer George Forbes was injured but got out to help the civilian driver before he passed out in the street.

He’s expected to be alright.

Authorities say the robber at the Trust Federal Credit Union on Gunbarrel Road was able to escape.

A Chattanooga businessman has made Forbes list of the richest Americans.

60-year-old Jeffrey Lorberbaum is the CEO of Mohawk Industries. Forbes estimates he’s worth $2.2 billion dollars.

Last year he wasn’t in the top 1000, but this year he ranks 307th.

SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland has been renamed.

The city’s biggest hospital is becoming Tennova Healthcare Cleveland.

The Tennova name is used by 11 other hospitals in the state owned by Community Health Systems.
